This view is approximately one quarter mile into American Basin from the parking area at the end of access road CR 12.  The image is taken from near the Handies Peak Trail & the view is southwest. The peaks on the horizon range from 13,450' to 13,750' above sea level.  The images were taken at very close to noon.
