Arizona. The buttes are the same Entrada Sandstone and similar
color as Monument Valley.

View northwest to the two main Los Giganes Buttes. Access
to the area are via gravel Indian Roads. Los Gigantes Buttes are
not quite as tall as the similar buttes in Monument Valley but definetly
have that same appearance.

View east on a typical road in the area near the Los Gigantes Buttes.
This drainage is surrounded by a combination of Entrada and Navajo
Sandstone bluffs that form a barrier to travel eastbound.

Rock formation with Navajo Sandstone dome at the top supported by an
Entrada Sandstone base. There are several dune fields in the area.

Typical very scuptural rock formations in the area. The images
in this photo gallery were taken around noon so the light is pretty
harsh.

The road makes a deep grade cut through compacted sand as it passes
into a box canyon.
