This view is approximately an 1/8 of a mile upstream from the end of
the paved portion of the trail. From this point on as you travel
upstream you will be in water 95% of the time.

Baby
Grebes traveling downstream with the humans to avoid being picked off
by the patrolling Ravens. We followed these little guys for a mile
back to the paved part of the trail. The mother was nowhere to be
seen.
